Congressional Republicans Support Rebranding Defense Department

Support for renaming the Defense Department as the Department of War is being promoted by Congressional Republicans. This initiative, driven by the Trump administration, has been included in early versions of both House and Senate defense policy bills. However, it still encounters obstacles before becoming law.
