1 hour ago 0

Las Vegas Raiders player Maxx Crosby shared his anticipation for attending an upcoming UFC event at the White House on June 14 as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration. Crosby noted his excitement for visiting the historical site for the first time and expressed his admiration for America’s legacy, stating, “It’s incredible that we all have an opportunity to celebrate our country and be part of a historic event.”

Crosby, acknowledging the freedoms in America, emphasized the opportunities available, saying, “You have an opportunity every day to chase your passion. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, but in this country, you have a choice every day to chase what you love and aspire to do. People don’t say the American Dream for no reason.”

At the event, Crosby expressed support for his friend, UFC fighter Justin Gaethje, highlighting Gaethje’s accomplishments in the sport. “Justin Gaethje is one of the greatest fighters, and he’s a great friend, so I’ll definitely be biased for him,” Crosby added.

The idea for the fight at the White House originated from a conversation between Donald Trump and UFC President Dana White during a live UFC match. Logistics were set in motion shortly afterward.

Crosby commented on his relationship with Dana White, saying, “Dana White is like family to me. He always puts on an incredible show.” He also shared his experiences of meeting Trump, noting positive interactions.

Looking ahead to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, Crosby expressed interest in participating in flag football for Team USA. “Oh, no doubt,” he said, when asked about playing, adding that his heart remains with America despite family roots in the Balkans.

Reflecting on a potential Olympic team-up, Crosby humorously doubted whether former NFL star Tom Brady, now a minority owner of the Raiders, would play quarterback. “I don’t think he would do that,” Crosby said, acknowledging Brady’s retirement while expressing openness to his participation.

Discussing new quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Crosby praised his adaptability and willingness to learn. “He’s a young guy coming in off an incredible season and an incredible college career,” Crosby said, noting that Mendoza was integrating well with the team.

Crosby emphasized the importance of allowing Mendoza to develop his own identity without comparisons. “People just need to allow Fernando to be Fernando,” he stated.

Crosby also shared thoughts on working with an organization that includes NFL legend Tom Brady. He valued Brady’s presence as a resource, noting the positive impact of having someone with such experience around the team.

On a lighter note, Crosby discussed his collaboration with SAXX Underwear, humorously highlighting the name’s link to his professional role. He expressed genuine enjoyment of the product, integrating it into his daily routine.
