Rod Stewart has postponed several concerts on doctor’s advice. He needs to rest his voice due to vocal issues.
The concerts originally scheduled for June 15 and 16 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, have been moved to September 2 and 3, 2027. The venue shared this update on their social media platforms.
Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic, Dr. David Opperman has recommended vocal rest for Rod Stewart. The evaluation showed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal cords, preventing him from performing safely without the risk of further injury and potential long-term voice damage.
The venue’s post also mentioned, “Rod is deeply disappointed and sincerely apologizes to his fans for this inconvenience. He is eager to return to the stage as soon as he receives medical clearance.”
Some fans expressed frustration over the timing of the announcement. One fan commented on social media, “Why wait an hour before the show? Bartenders and other staff had been called off hours ago? Unacceptable.”
This situation isn’t new for Stewart. He previously canceled a show in San Diego on April 12 due to laryngitis from an acute upper respiratory infection.
Stewart’s next concert is planned for June 19 in West Valley City, Utah. The event is still on schedule, but ticketholders should watch for updates. Hopefully, his voice will recover by then, allowing him to return to the stage.
