Tarek and Heather El Moussa experienced a distressing event when their home in Southern California was broken into during their family vacation in Mexico. The incident occurred at their Newport Beach residence, believed to have taken place between June 6 and June 8.

Authorities responded to the residential burglary report in the Mariners Community area after 6 p.m. on June 8. According to officials, unidentified suspects accessed the backyard, shattered a rear sliding glass door, and entered the house.

Inside, the intruders ransacked the primary bedroom closet before escaping through the backyard. Jewelry was reported stolen from the residence.

“While the victim was away, unknown suspects accessed the backyard of the property and shattered a rear sliding glass door to get into the house,” officials told Fox News Digital.

The Newport Beach Police Department has not yet identified any suspects in the case. Representatives for the El Moussa couple did not immediately comment on the situation.

On social media, Heather El Moussa expressed her dismay at the event, writing, “Disgusted by some of the cruel heartless people in this world,” adding, “Tarek and I feel violated and to be honest really sad. Taking a break for a few days and will be back to explain soon.” She assured followers that she and her family were safe.

The couple welcomed their son Tristan in January 2023. Tarek El Moussa was previously married to Christina Haack, with whom he shares two children, Taylor and Brayden. They also collaborated on HGTV’s “The Flip Off” after their divorce in 2018.
